Educational QA Specialist
About the role
NovoDia builds custom K-12 curriculum for school districts using our AI content generation platform. Every lesson is reviewed and corrected by a human before it reaches a classroom. The Curriculum QA Specialist is that human. You will work inside our production platform to review lessons that have already been signed off by a Subject Matter Expert, fix what needs fixing, and move them to final approval. This is hands-on production work: reviewers own the outcome of their review, not just the findings.
We are hiring now to support a high-volume delivery push through December, with continued work likely for reviewers who perform well.
Short application, followed by a video screen, practical review of a sample lesson in our platform, and an interview. Decisions within 2 business days of the interview. Structured onboarding in your first week, with direct support from the curriculum team.
Responsibilities
- Review every assigned lesson activity by activity, checking content accuracy, answer keys, images, audio, and formatting
- Fix errors directly in the platform and move each lesson to final approval
- Submit image correction requests through our structured image review workflow
- Create structured bug tickets for platform-level issues that require developer attention
- Keep your lesson queue status accurate and current as you work
- Track time per lesson and surface recurring error patterns to the curriculum team
Qualifications
- Fluent in complex web software and quick to pick up new tools
- Editing, instructional design, or edtech experience; know what a finished, classroom-ready lesson looks like
- Confident editors in production systems, comfortable taking ownership of a lesson
- Keep queue current and work complete so team knows lesson status
- Flag blockers early and respond to messages within a business day
- Experience editing or writing digital content (curriculum, edtech, publishing, or similar)
- Strong command of K-12 content across subjects: catch incorrect answers, questions with more than one defensible answer, mismatched diagrams and photos, inconsistencies between activities
- Comfort working in browser-based authoring tools and Airtable, or ability to learn quickly
- Clear, concise written communication
- Reliable availability: consistent weekly schedule and ability to take on more hours during production pushes
- Demonstrated interest in education and curriculum development
Pay
Compensation: $15 per hour.
Schedule
Part‑time, 1099, remote; approximately 20‑40 hours per week. Initial contract runs through December 31, 2026, with possible extension based on performance and project volume.
