Educational Program Coordinator

About the Role

The Perioperative Educational Program Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates educational activities for clinical and support caregivers. This role involves coordinating orientation, assigning preceptors, assisting with hiring and performance evaluations, supporting ongoing education and training programs, and collaborating with local colleges and universities. The coordinator may also perform patient care up to 20% of the time in their clinical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute new hire orientation and unit preceptor assignments.
• Assist in interviewing and evaluating new caregivers.
• Coordinate continuing education and training programs.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in annual evaluations with unit managers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years perioperative experience.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification.
• ACLS certification if performing moderate/procedural sedation.
