About the role

The State University of New York (SUNY) System Administration, located in Albany, NY, is seeking a graduate student to support various projects for the Office of the Provost.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Office of the Provost by assisting with research, advocacy, and analysis of educational related policies.
  • Monitor local, state, or federal education bills and policy changes.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative policy research and literature reviews.
  • Translate complex academic research or legal texts into clear fact sheets, briefs, and memos.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate or post-graduate program at a SUNY school.
  • Strong technical proficiency across the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in gathering, organizing, and evaluating data sets.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with precise editing capabilities.

Additional Information

  • Hours are flexible. Typically averaging 20 hours per week.
  • Paid Positions: Undergraduate students $16.00/hour: Graduate students $18.00/hour. Doctoral students: $20.00/hour.
