- Starting Salary: $19.06 per hour - Grade 6410I- Educational Interpreter I
- Starting Salary: $20.51 per hour - Grade 6610I- Educational Interpreter II
- Starting Salary: $22.19 per hour - Grade 6810I- Educational Interpreter III
Qualifications
- Must be proficient in sign language
- Annual completion of 20 hours of approved training related to interpreting
- Valid driver's license issued by the state of North Carolina
- Maintain a safe driving record
- EIPA score of a 3.3 or TECUnit score of a level 2 for educational interpreters/transliterators
- Three years of experience in the educational setting for Educational Interpreter II
- Five years of experience in the educational setting for Educational Interpreter III
- National certification for Educational Interpreter III
