Educational Assistant

About the role

Position: full-time educational assistant at Foley Elementary School. Location: Foley Elementary School, a preK-3 primary school with 600 students and approximately 90 faculty and staff members, located at 743 Penn St., Foley, MN. Start date: as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

Educational Assistants work directly under the supervision of a special education teacher and/or the school principal. Educational Assistants supervise and work with students with physical, intellectual, and/or behavioral disabilities.

Qualifications

• An A.A. degree or at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the ParaPro or ParaEducator assessment.

• A passing score on a PCA certification online assessment.
• Experience or interest in working with children in a classroom or educational setting.
• Experience or interest in working with children with disabilities is preferred.

Pay

Competitive wage based on experience and qualifications: $20.37 per hour – $22.03 per hour.

Schedule

7‑hour day (6.5 paid hours per day or 32.5 paid hours per 5‑day school week).
