Educational Consultant

A vacancy exists for an Educational Consultant position at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit at PaTTAN - East. The Educational Consultant provides expertise in the areas of literacy, inclusive practices, and MTSS to respond to PDE, BSE, and Eastern Region IUs' and their districts' requests for coaching, technical assistance, and professional development. Qualifications Must possess a master's degree and Pennsylvania Instructional Certification in at least one of the following: special education, school psychology, and speech/language pathology, and/or Board Certification in Behavioral AnalysisExpertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: literacy, inclusive practices, and MTSSExperience providing technical assistance, professional development, and coachingAbility to work effectively with professional personnel in educational agenciesOriginal certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI Duties And Responsibilities Respond to PDE and BSE requests for technical assistanceRespond to the eastern region IUs' and their districts' requests for classroom, building, and district-level coaching and technical assistanceCreate and provide professional development for educators, administrators, and IU personnel in the education of students with disabilities Plan and participate in regional and statewide conferences, workshops, and planning sessionsAssist in the preparation of publication materials (i.e., directories, brochures, training modules, manuals, and electronic resources)Some overnight travel is required Location: PaTTAN - East is located at 2500 Monroe Blvd, Norristown PA. Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year) Eligible to work up to 35 supplemental days/year Salary Master's: $68,008/year - Master's+60: $77,854/year Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
