About the Role

This full-time, on-site position supports students receiving special education services by assisting with instructional activities, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the direction of licensed staff, and reinforcing classroom lessons.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and small group academic and behavioral support.
  • Assist with classroom management and support students with social, emotional, and functional skills.
  • Help implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in IEPs.
  • Supervise transitions, lunch, and recess periods.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as directed.
  • Collaborate closely with special education teachers and related service providers to promote an inclusive, safe, and positive learning environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework, paraprofessional certification, or experience in special education is preferred.
  • Ability to meet district hiring requirements, including background checks and any mandated training.
