EDUCATIONAL AIDE.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement. Proof of U.S. Citizenship and direct deposit of pay are required. Appointment is subject to a suitability/fitness determination and a background investigation. This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks.
Responsibilities
- Distributing and collecting testing materials as needed by students
- Grading and providing testing results using identified scoring techniques
- Monitoring students during various phases of the school day
- Preparing instructional materials related to classroom lessons
- Providing tutoring to students in all subject areas
- Accompanying and supervising students on field trips

Qualifications
- Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
- Education substitution:
- Qualifying based on education alone: 2 years (60 semester hours) of education above high school may substitute for general experience.
- Qualifying based on a combination of education and general experience: A combination may be used if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Divide total months of qualifying experience by 12 and semester hours of undergraduate education by 60, then add the two percentages.
- Foreign degrees and coursework from non-accredited institutions must be evaluated by:
- A current member of National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
- The foreign institution that awarded the degree, if on a list endorsed by a regionally accredited university or a state department of education for teacher certification (requires English translation of transcript and degree document)
- The graduate division of a regionally accredited university, declaring equivalence to U.S. undergraduate or graduate work

Pay
Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Permanent Educational Aide positions working over 32 hours per week may require their pay to be spread per their local bargaining unit.
