Position Overview

The UMD Department of Education in the College of Education and Human Service Professions is seeking to hire student teaching supervisors. These positions are temporary and part-time. This search will establish a pool of applicants for openings that may occur during the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants will be selected from the pool as needed. Applications may not be acknowledged but will be reviewed when such openings occur. Instructors are appointed on a semester basis, depending on the needs of the Department of Education. Part-time appointments do not carry benefits, and appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance.

Qualifications Required/Essential Qualifications

  • A commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering social justice
  • A Master's degree from an accredited institution in education or field related to specific supervision assignment
  • A minimum of 3 years of K12 teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional licensure/endorsements appropriate to the field of study required to fill the position
  • Experience teaching with technology

Pay Range

  • Instructor (9403): $47,919.38 - $63,893 per year
  • Assistant Professor (9404): $55,691.25 - $74,255 per year
