Education Specialist (RN), Day Shift, Home Health

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse Education Specialist for our Home Health team, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding/Orientation of newly hired staff
• Ongoing assessment of competency and evaluation of performance
• Provision of continuing education
• Identifies practice gaps and learning needs
• Develops an appropriate education plan based on professional practice gaps and learning needs
• Assists clinical staff in preparation for certification in specialty
• Coordinate, facilitate and evaluate activities that promote professional role development
• Obtains contact hours in specialty areas, if appropriate

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical specialty required
• Master’s degree in clinical specialty preferred
• 2 years in clinical specialty
• 2 years of education experience preferred
• 1 year in leadership role preferred (includes supervisor, preceptor)
• Maryland State RN licensure required
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required
• If nursing, certification in clinical specialty or nursing professional development within one year of hire
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken required, curriculum development
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Typical daily schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Pay

$77,313.60 - $115,980.80 per year.
