Education Specialist, Respiratory

Assists the director and department managers and supervisors in coordinating and educating personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of technical, diagnostic, and therapeutic services for Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patient populations throughout the Healthcare system. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of patient care services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and educate personnel to maintain consistent standards of practice and competencies in respiratory care.
• Support the delivery of technical, diagnostic, and therapeutic services across multiple patient populations.

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required.
• North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• 3 years of clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy required.
• 2 years of clinical experience in Critical Care (ICU/CCU) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (Adult).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (Adult).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (Neonatal/Pediatric).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
