Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with 15 credit hours in Early Childhood, required by the Office of Head Start
- Extensive experience in educational settings (early childhood, K-12, special education, or related) serving children
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills, including the ability to set clear expectations, coach team members, and hold staff accountable to performance and compliance standards
- Previous experience working in education at a Head Start program, preferred
- Working knowledge of the Head Start Act, Performance Standards, Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF), and Related Regulations, preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee curriculum implementation and instructional quality to promote school readiness and positive child outcomes
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing Education Supervisors to maintain excellence in teaching practices and program compliance
- Monitor classroom environments and home-based education to ensure safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Drive program evaluation, continuous improvement, and informed decision-making through data systems and reporting
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and family partnerships to advance parent engagement and ensure successful transitions

Rural Utah Child Development (RUCD) is a comprehensive child development program designed to meet the educational, emotional, social, and health needs of children. The RUCD team works well together to provide strong support and leadership, creating a consistent and quality learning environment. Children receive individualized lesson plans with developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and families are involved with their children's education while they receive assistance with personal goals, parenting information, and leadership through parent committees and Policy Council.
