- Cultivating a Supportive Atmosphere: Cultivate a supportive atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to embrace their journey of learning and growth.
- Documentation and Reporting: Thoroughly document student progress and maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring everyone is informed and involved in each student's educational journey.
Skills and Talents
- Age requirement: Must be 18 years or older to be eligible for employment
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Driver’s license: Valid and current California driver’s license preferred
- Availability: Monday through Friday: 7:30-4pm or 8am-4:30pm. This is a year-round program.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards individuals with diverse abilities and backgrounds
- Qualities: Reliability, compassion, and patience, coupled with a genuine passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives
- Adaptability: Ability to adjust to varying needs, preferences, and communication styles of those we support
- Flexibility: Capacity to adapt to changing environments and respond effectively to unexpected situations
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $20 per hour with a $1.00 increase after six-month initial review period
