Education Coordinator - Full Time

About the Role

The Education Coordinator – Respiratory provides clinical leadership, education, and quality support within the Respiratory Therapy Department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care activities within the Respiratory Therapy Department.
• Coordinate staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing professional development.
• Support quality management initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff.
• Develop and implement training programs and educational strategies.
• Promote evidence-based practice and patient safety.
• Maintain documentation related to education and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve educational outcomes and departmental performance.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or active enrollment in a degree program.
• Minimum of 5 years of critical care or respiratory therapy teaching experience.
• Must hold or obtain relevant licensure and certifications, including ACLS, NRP, PALS, and ECMO training.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
• Knowledge of quality improvement processes and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency with computer applications and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to provide care for patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in healthcare, education, or leadership.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle physical demands typical of a clinical environment, including pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 30 pounds.
