About the role
This is a full-time position. Pay is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Director of Education Centre and other Education Coordinators in implementing and instructing EMS programs by Life EMS.
- Implement and maintain accreditation for Life EMS in MFR, EMT, Paramedic, and Instructor Coordinator program levels.
- Implement other training programs and education, including but not limited to continuing education and cardiac, pediatric, and trauma courses.
- Ensure daily customer happiness.
- Develop and implement a variety of EMS educational courses, providing direct instruction to students.
- Develop and implement EMS course quizzes and exams, maintaining course grades.
- Aid the Director of Education Centre in achieving department goals and educational quality initiatives.
- Review data and compile statistics to identify problem areas that may need addressing.
- Aid in peer review and constructive critiques of students.
- Assist in researching questions and concerns from local medical control representatives.
- Follow all policies and procedures of the Education Centre.
- Maintain records as directed by policy and the Director of Education Centre or his/her designee.
- Attend meetings as requested by and for the Director of Education Centre to represent Life EMS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Maintain a MDHHS instructor/coordinator certification.
- Life EMS Level II Paramedic status preferred.
- Possess or have the ability to obtain BLS, PHTLS, ACLS, and EPC instructor level certifications.
- Show significant prehospital care experience and excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Have outstanding verbal and written skills to effectively train others.
- Pass all Life EMS pre-employment requirements as outlined on the Conditional Offer of Employment.
- Show positive, respectful behavior in dealing with people at all levels.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record.
- Hold a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.
- Coverage of COVID-19 vaccination is highly encouraged.
