Education Consultant

About the role

NCA is seeking an Education Consultant based in the Philadelphia area to work collaboratively with families, trustees, medical providers, and school teams in both general and special education capacities. The role involves advocating for the best interests of individual students to maximize learning potential while working with public and private school entities.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in the field of education
• Strong understanding of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act)
• Experience in special education processes, including navigating referrals, evaluations, IEPs, and NOREP/PWNs
• Experience with behavioral interventions preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner through both written and verbal expression
• Flexibility to travel to attend client school meetings
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Willingness to collaborate with others in a respectful and efficient manner to reach desirable outcomes for clients
• Ability to problem solve and research potential solutions while addressing educational programming affected by medical needs
• Strong computer skills, including video conferencing
