Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Support the inclusion and success of students with disabilities in academic and campus settings
- Attend classes with student(s) and provide individualized support as needed
- Aid students in developing effective study skills, learning strategies, and academic habits
- Help students access college resources and services
- Foster student independence while providing guidance with social, communication, and functional life skills
- Encourage appropriate college expectations, behaviors, and self-advocacy
- Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, supervisor, and other members of the support team
- Submit weekly progress updates to supervisor
- Maintain confidentiality of all students’ educational records and information
- Provide coverage for fellow Educational Coaches when needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Interest in and commitment to working with students with disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training as needed
