About the Role
The Education Coach provides individualized coaching and professional development to teaching staff to improve instructional practices and classroom quality. Through classroom observations, modeling, reflective conversations, and ongoing support, the Education Coach helps teachers implement research-based strategies that promote positive child outcomes and school readiness.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers through individualized coaching to strengthen instructional quality.
- Deliver professional development to enhance classroom practices.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback.
- Model evidence-based teaching practices for educators.
- Engage in reflective conversations to promote continuous improvement.
- Assist teachers in implementing strategies that advance children’s school readiness goals.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Studies, or a related field with an emphasis in essential early childhood education topics.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Head Start, Early Head Start, or another early childhood education setting.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and ChildPlus or similar data management systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
- Four (4) years of early childhood education or related experience.
- Coaching in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
- Previous Head Start experience.
- Bilingual skills.
Pay
The starting wage for this position is $27.70 per hour.
