Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor EDM machines under supervision
- Set up workpieces and tooling as instructed
- Read and follow basic blueprints and work instructions
- Perform routine inspections using measuring tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Absorb and assist with machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Meet production and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical school or machining coursework preferred (not required)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Physical And Work Environment Requirements
- Based in a manufacturing environment
- May require standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, and rising for extended periods
- May involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials and equipment weighing up to — and occasionally exceeding — 50 pounds
- May involve viewing a computer or other digital screen, working on a computer, workstation, or comparable system, and making accurate entries in such systems
- May require manual dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed assembly and precision work
- May take place in areas with varying temperatures or no climate control, varying noise levels, and production equipment in motion
- Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas at all times as required by company policy
