Editor Required For Busy Publishing Company International Living is in the business of showing people how and where they can enjoy a more international life…live better for less…and embrace adventure. We are now seeking a resourceful and effective editor to join our growing team in our headquarters, the historic Woodlock House in Portlaw, Waterford, Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, production, and management of our library of books, video courses, and online reports. You’ll work with our team of designers, editors, and correspondents around the world. This role requires a high level of creativity, an openness to new ideas, and excellent writing and editing skills. If you’re an enthusiastic individual who has a clear understanding of what goes into producing successful publications this role could be ideal. Our readership is predominantly North American, and as editor you’ll edit, write, research, proofread, copyedit, and manage a busy schedule based around a wide variety of topics. Duties Include Copy-editing and proofreading written content with a critical eye and attention to detail and meeting house style guidelines.Researching and fact-checking information pertaining to the focus of our publications.Editing and writing as required.Organizing and chairing meetings for editorial and promotional content planning.Liaising with writers, graphic designers, internal stakeholders, and editors at all stages of the production process. Essential Requirements At least 2 years’ experience working in an editorial role.Meticulous copyediting and proofreading.Excellent communication, organizational, research, project-managing, and fact-checking skills.A grasp of the role the internet and social media play in today’s publishing industry. Desirable Some travel experience—having seen some of the world would be a distinct advantage.Knowledge of HTML and WordPress is a plus.Knowledge of and interest in the role of A.I. in publishing.
