About the Role

The Senior EDI / Business Applications Analyst serves as a subject matter expert and senior technical resource responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, integration, and support of mission-critical business processes and enterprise applications. This role provides advanced expertise in EDI and ERP integrations while contributing to broader business application initiatives. The position leads complex EDI Trading Partner implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, EDI map and business process configuration, testing, implementation, and post-production support.

The Senior Analyst works closely with internal business stakeholders, IT teams, and external Trading Partners to translate business requirements into effective and sustainable integration solutions. The role involves independently troubleshooting complex integration issues, identifying root causes, recommending improvements, and driving solutions across system boundaries. In addition to EDI responsibilities, the role may support ERP, SAP, and other enterprise applications, participating in enhancements, implementations, and strategic initiatives that support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create new EDI business processes facilitating trading partner onboarding.
  • Develop strong working relationships with business users and trading partners to gather requirements, resolve issues, implement solutions, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide daily EDI support, monitor interfaces, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of EDI business processes, including Trading Partner onboarding, enhancements, and migration projects.
  • Document mapping specifications and store documentation in the appropriate repository.
  • Develop and support Sterling Integrator Business Processes.
  • Develop and support translation processes from varying formats into ERP.
  • Balance time resources to perform simultaneous work on multiple projects.
  • Create system development plans and define the objectives and scope of projects.
  • Provide advice on business process and system designs that solve business problems or exploit business opportunities.
  • Resolve problems, implement new systems, and identify opportunities for business improvement.
  • Setup and configuration of new trading partners to exchange EDI transactions through Sterling Integrator Mailbox functions (ASN, SFTP, OFTP, VAN).
  • Provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a similar field.
  • Extensive experience with IBM Sterling Integrator, including Business Process development, configuration, mapping, and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience working with ERP environments.
  • Experience with SAP transactions commonly used for EDI troubleshooting, such as WE05, WE19, BD87, WE20 (a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT (e.g., 830, 850, 856, 810).
  • Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, mapping specifications, and support procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and competing deadlines independently.

Pay

Yearly salary range: $112,000–$120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
