EDI Operations Specialist
Role Description
If you're analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving complex data quality issues, the EDI Operations Specialist role might be your ideal next step. In this role, you’ll take ownership of ensuring the accuracy and integrity of EDI data, which is critical for timely and informed business decision-making. Acting as a subject matter expert in policies, coverage, and proprietary systems, you'll validate and analyze claims data and partner with internal stakeholders and external TPAs to resolve anomalies. You’ll lead root cause investigations of data quality problems, implement solutions, and provide guidance to peers while maintaining client-specific coding, mapping, and cross-reference data. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of production EDI data, positioning you as a vital team member in continuous process improvement and system integrity initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO
- All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview
- One of the following combinations of education and insurance industry experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data analytics, data science, computer science
- 2 or more years of experience in data and/or operations role
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
- Ability to solve complex data issues and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 or more years of experience in a data and/or operations role
- Experience with EDI processing or claims systems
- Familiarity with policy/client data validation processes
- Demonstrated ability to train and guide team members
Non-exempt
Please note, this position is classified as Non-Exempt under federal wage and hour laws. As such, you will be required to clock in and out for all hours worked and will be eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a given workweek.
