About the Role

This position operates in a distribution environment in Edgerton, KS, reporting to the Distribution Supervisor. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, receiving materials, and picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping products using forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials and products to ensure they are in good condition.
  • Move materials to the production area following the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) standard.
  • Maintain receiving and shipping logs with accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a solution-based, positive attitude toward meeting goals and objectives.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to company standards and operating procedures to deliver quality products and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience using an RF Gun or WMS inventory tracking system handheld.
  • Must pass forklift certification training, written test, and practical assessment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, record, and apply information from documents.
  • Proven history of good attendance.
  • Capability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with diverse employees.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing work demands to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment.
  • Experience safely operating powered industrial equipment and following company safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Work Environment

This role operates in a distribution environment where the noise level can be high. The position requires regular communication and frequent physical activity.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • May push and pull heavy trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, and catch pans.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Tools and Equipment

  • Forklifts and electric/manual floor jacks.
  • Computer systems and department-specific tools.
  • All required tools and equipment are provided and maintained by the employer at no cost to the employee.

Pay

$23.46 per hour.
