Duties And Responsibilities
- Checking work order, properly select processed material
- Properly set-up and operate an edging machine
- In-process inspection of material to ensure proper quality is maintained
- Identify the correct edging tools to utilize
- Run material according to specifications of work order
- Check material to ensure customer quality requirements are met
- Properly identify all edged material and complete all documentation
- May require the repair of minor mechanical problems
- Group completed coils together by work order in designated area
- Maintain work area in a clean and neat fashion
Required Education And Experience
- Education and/or experience – High School degree or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience or training in a related field or manufacturing environment preferred
- Math – Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals
- Knowledge of the Standard/Imperial measuring system is required, and knowledge of the metric system is a plus
- Understanding and use of basic measuring instruments required; micrometers, digital calipers, tape measure is preferred

- Work from written specifications and verbal instructions
- Maintain a good attendance record
- Overtime and weekend work could be required
- Ability to work effectively with all other employees

- The ability to pass both a pre-employment background and drug screening
- Experience with mechanical measurement tolls and basic math skills
Working Conditions (Including Physical And Mental Demands)
- The employee is required to: Stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, frequently above shoulders, climb steps and/or balance, and walk and/or hear
- The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
