ED Technician I - 0.8 - Nights - Emergency @ MV
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
- Rotates to oversee the patients and families in ED waiting area.
- Provides assistance to patients’ upon arrival.
- Aids the triage RN in identifying medical necessity.
- Supports and provides information to patients, families and staff.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, guests, and co-workers in English both verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional people skills and an ability to function in a calm manner in stressful situations.
- The ability to adapt, prioritize, and function in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
- National Registered Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, OR proof of current completion of 2 semesters in an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
- Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association.
Ages of Patients Served
This position is responsible for the care of neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Pay
$38.49 - $48.66 USD Hour
