ED Technician I - 0.8 - Nights - Emergency @ MV

Key Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
• Rotates to oversee the patients and families in ED waiting area.
• Provides assistance to patients’ upon arrival.
• Aids the triage RN in identifying medical necessity.
• Supports and provides information to patients, families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, guests, and co-workers in English both verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional people skills and an ability to function in a calm manner in stressful situations.
• The ability to adapt, prioritize, and function in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations

• National Registered Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, OR proof of current completion of 2 semesters in an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association.

Ages of Patients Served

This position is responsible for the care of neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Pay

$38.49 - $48.66 USD Hour
