ED Tech (Nights)
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join our fast-paced Emergency Department. This role provides care to patients with a wide range of conditions and illnesses, thriving on teamwork and a passion for excellent emergency care. The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player with a self-driven attitude, a desire to learn, and a love for working in a trauma setting.
Schedule
Three nights per week from 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Must be available to work a varied schedule, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support clinical staff by performing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) duties under RN supervision.
- Collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, and transport specimens.
- Perform clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination tasks.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Idaho and/or certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the State of Idaho or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network required at hire (unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk).
- Six months of experience as a CNA or EMT preferred.
- Recent experience working with pediatric patients and/or phlebotomy in an acute care setting preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
