ED Tech - Mercy San Diego - Varied Shift

About the role

Scripps Mercy Hospital, founded in 1890, serves central and downtown San Diego. The San Diego campus is located at 5th Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest. The hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista, offering a wide range of services including 24-hour emergency care, robotic surgery, prenatal services with NICU support, and outpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and physicians with patient care activities and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Perform patient care tasks, including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, and simple dressings and splints
• Cool and transport patients as needed
• Provide coverage for unit secretary duties when needed

Requirements

• Must be certified as a CA state EMT (EMT, AEMT or Paramedic)
• BLS Healthcare Provider Certification through American Heart Association
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a certified EMT program or CNA certification

Pay

$25.95-$32.56/hour

Schedule

72 hours per 2-week pay period | 12-hour Varied Shifts (including weekends)
