Responsibilities
- Performs clerical duties, order and data entry utilizing multiple computer systems.
- Effectively communicates and facilitates all departmental orders and results to ED staff.
- Serves as front-line departmental ambassador in customer service.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with internal and external personnel.
- Work in conjunction with the ED team in order to expedite patient care and throughput and provide excellent quality care in a family oriented hospital setting.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous experience as a Unit Secretary/Adm Partner desired.
- Completion of a medical terminology course or previous experience in admitting/emergency or physician office (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution, peer respect, critical thinking skills, self-motivated, customer service skills and/or orientation.
- Exhibits flexibility in scheduling to adapt to special circumstances and ability to multitask.
