About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations
- Perform advanced life support procedures as needed
- Assess and monitor patient conditions using medical equipment
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare providers and emergency responders
- Document patient care and treatment in accordance with hospital policies
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Paramedic Training Program (OEMS approved)
- Current North Carolina Paramedic Certification required (National Registry preferred)
- Completion of community paramedicine curriculum within two years of hire preferred
- Current NC license – EMT-P or NR EMT-P
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
- Completion of CPI Course required within 30 days of hire
- Affiliation with an EMS agency is required to maintain National Registry Paramedic certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Passing score on a background check

Pay
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Shifts may vary based on department needs, but typically include rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
