ED Paramedic Weekender

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations
• Perform advanced life support procedures as needed
• Assess and monitor patient conditions using medical equipment
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare providers and emergency responders
• Document patient care and treatment in accordance with hospital policies
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Paramedic Training Program (OEMS approved)
• Current North Carolina Paramedic Certification required (National Registry preferred)
• Completion of community paramedicine curriculum within two years of hire preferred
• Current NC license – EMT-P or NR EMT-P
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
• Completion of CPI Course required within 30 days of hire
• Affiliation with an EMS agency is required to maintain National Registry Paramedic certification

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Passing score on a background check

Pay

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Shifts may vary based on department needs, but typically include rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
