ED Flow Coordinator, Nights

About the role

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from a nursing program required; Bachelor's Degree of Nursing preferred
• Work Experience: 1 year of Emergency Department experience as a registered nurse (RN) required; experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects required
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support required
  • ACLS required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required
  • CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse preferred
