ED Flow Coordinator, Nights

About the role

The Emergency Department (ED) at Piedmont Henry Hospital handles approximately 75,000-90,000 visits per year, licensed for 59 beds, with a 3/4:1 patient to RN ratio. It is a Level III trauma center that includes a recently added 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit, which collaborates with the ED's multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all patient care activities within the ED to ensure efficient and safe care delivery.
• Work as a liaison between the ED medical staff and other departments to facilitate timely and effective patient care.
• Delegating workload appropriately while demonstrating teamwork, leadership, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• PREFERRED: Additional education or certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and CEN.
• Required: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure.
• Required: BCLS - Basic Life Support.
• Required: ACLS.
• Required: PALS.
• PREFERRED: CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse.
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience as a registered nurse (RN).
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects.
