ECS Account Executive - Public Sector

About the role
As the Enterprise Corporate Sales (ECS) Account Executive (AE), you are a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will develop and close new business while expanding Docusign’s footprint in current customers by selling additional products and services within an assigned geographic territory or vertical. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Regional Vice President, Enterprise Corporate Sales.
Responsibilities
- Drive success of the company’s goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas
- Build and manage a sales pipeline through prospecting efforts into a geographic territory or within core verticals
- Craft and deliver customized sales presentations and product demonstrations, by phone and via online demo
- Develop and negotiate enterprise-level proposals and contracts
- Forecast sales activity and revenue achievements accurately through proper use of sales tools
- Collaborate effectively and engage various pre/post sales resources including Sales Development Representatives, Market Development Representatives, Solutions Engineers, Enterprise Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Renewal Managers, Partner Account Managers, as well as Legal, Security, Professional Services, and Customer Support
Requirements
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of direct full-cycle, software sales experience in a quota-carrying role
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years SaaS sales experience
- Experience selling web-based products/services
- Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles
- Demonstrated ability to over-achieve quotas (top 10-20% of company) in past positions
- Proficient computer application skills, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Familiar with Google suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Travel as necessary, typically 10%
Schedule
This is a remote position. Employees are not required to be in or near an office frequently and work from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.
Pay
Pay for this position is based on geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Below are the base salary ranges for specific locations:
- California: $50.20/hour - $72.23/hour
- Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota: $48.50/hour - $66.65/hour
- Washington, Maryland, New Jersey, New York (including NYC metro area): $48.50/hour - $69.03/hour
- Washington DC: $50.20/hour - $69.03/hour
- Ohio: $46.10/hour - $63.35/hour
This role is also eligible for the following bonus:
- Sales personnel: variable incentive pay dependent on achievement of pre-established sales goals
- Non-Sales roles: company bonus plan, calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance
