Brief Description Ecotoxicology Laboratory Assistant Location: On-Site (Port Gamble, Washington) Relocation Assistance Negotiable Compensation: $17.50/hour Spheros Environmental is currently seeking a part-time Laboratory Assistant to join our Port Gamble, WA team. The Port Gamble Environmental Laboratory is a consulting laboratory focused on performing aquatic toxicity testing on water, sediment, and other matrices. The primary responsibilities of this position include supporting daily laboratory operations through general lab maintenance activities, including cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment and glassware, testing material inventory, and ensuring the organization and proper storage of laboratory supplies. Part-time employees may work up to 28 hours per week, with a flexible schedule designed to accommodate laboratory needs; weekend work is optional. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma at a minimumThe ability to follow protocols, chain of command, and to ask questions when discrepancies arise.Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently, communicate promptly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Works well independently and within a team setting (proactive, quick learner that is detail oriented, ability to multitask).Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are absolute necessities.Ability to work long hours standing and lift/move heavy objects.Ability to perform work in an efficient manner and continually improve.
