Position Summary
The Department of Economics at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions.
Responsibilities
- Teach 3 - 9 credit hours
- Be available for consultation with students
- Work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
- May include but are not limited to: teaching assigned classes in person or online, delivering course content, preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading student work, providing students with feedback, addressing student questions, and providing academic support.
Required Qualifications
- M.A. or M.S. in Economics, Applied Economics, Agri-Econ Economics, or a related field within the last 6 years

Preferred Qualifications
- ABD or Ph.D. within the last 6 years with record of at least one publication in a journal listed in ABDC or Cabell's (less than 50%), or a refereed book chapter and at least one conference presentation
Terms of Employment
Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University’s benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependent on budget and enrollment. Qualified candidates will be expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire.
