Economics Instructor

About the role

This position offers an opportunity for experienced educators to deliver engaging, high-quality online economics courses while supporting students from diverse backgrounds. You will teach foundational economics concepts through interactive, student-centered instruction designed to connect theory with real-world applications.

Requirements

• Master’s degree required in Economics, Applied Economics, Business, or a related field; candidates with a Master’s degree in another discipline combined with substantial economics teaching experience may also be considered.
• PhD or equivalent advanced degree is welcomed but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate college or university-level teaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience teaching introductory economics courses, including Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics.
• Strong ability to explain economic theories clearly and connect academic concepts to practical situations.
• Experience teaching in online, synchronous, or hybrid learning environments preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.
• Comfortable using digital education tools, learning management systems, and video conferencing platforms.
• Able and willing to adapt to emerging educational technologies, including AI-supported teaching tools.
• Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality online education.
• Passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds and helping learners succeed.
• Availability to dedicate approximately 8-10 hours per week per course, with flexibility for training and preparation.
