Economic Intelligence Analyst

As Market Intelligence Analyst, you will thrive in a fast-moving environment, driving change and implementing processes at a fast-growing technology company.
We seek a highly analytical, naturally curious professional who uncovers insights others miss. This role blends business analysis, data science, economics, and software development to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that enhance business performance. The ideal candidate enjoys exploring complex datasets, challenging assumptions, and translating data into actionable intelligence. Success means proactively answering questions leadership hasn’t yet asked, with a focus on New York market data and other internal/external sources to support Customer Success Managers and business leadership.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities.
- Conduct deep investigative analysis to uncover meaningful business insights and market intelligence.
- Monitor and evaluate market conditions, economic indicators, supply chain trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Use statistical analysis, data modeling, and exploratory techniques to answer complex business questions.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools, models, and automated processes using Python and other data technologies.
- Gather and integrate data from multiple sources to provide comprehensive business insights.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers and business leaders to support strategic decision-making.
- Translate technical findings into clear, concise recommendations for executive and operational audiences.
- Identify leading indicators and emerging trends that may impact customer outcomes and business performance.
- Create visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
- Proactively surface insights that drive action and influence business strategy.
- Perform other additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data science, economics, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and modeling.
- Strong background in statistics and quantitative analysis.
- Experience working with large datasets and complex business problems.
- Strong SQL and data querying skills.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize data into actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience analyzing market data, economic indicators, or supply chain performance.
- Knowledge of forecasting, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience supporting commercial, customer success, revenue operations, or strategy functions.
- Familiarity with software development concepts and data engineering practices.

Travel
This position does not require regular travel. Occasional site visits may be needed for meetings, collaboration, training, or other business purposes.
