Economic Development Director

About the role

The City of Vallejo is seeking an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic professional to serve as the Economic Development Director. This role involves advancing economic development in the city and providing leadership and direction for the Economic Development Department, including developing, implementing, and administering effective and efficient economic development, redevelopment, and asset management services.

The ideal candidate is excited about working with the local community and regional stakeholders to improve the quality of life in Vallejo and possesses the ability to create and implement effective strategies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the Economic Development Department.
• Develop, implement, and administer economic development, redevelopment, and asset management services.
• Create and execute effective strategies and programs to advance economic growth.
• Select, supervise, mentor, train, direct, delegate to, and evaluate staff.
• Collaborate with local community and regional stakeholders to improve quality of life in Vallejo.
