Economic Development Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Regional Economic Analysis (Ongoing)
• Analyze regional economic conditions including industry mix, employment trends, and small business activity.
• Market & Industry Research (Milestone-Driven)
• Analyze key sectors and identify emerging economic opportunities and underserved markets.
• Small Business Ecosystem Evaluation (Recurring)
• Evaluate support systems such as lenders, incubators, and workforce programs to identify service gaps.
• Data Interpretation & Insight Development (Phase-Driven)
• Translate economic data into actionable insights supporting planning and strategy development.
• Business Plan Support (Deliverable-Focused)
• Provide market and economic inputs for the CDFI business plan including demand and target market analysis.
• Stakeholder Engagement Support (Continuous)
• Support collection of insights during stakeholder engagement activities and assist in synthesis of findings.
• Documentation & Compliance (Continuous)
• Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and findings consistent with project requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience required.
• Experience in economic analysis, market research, or regional planning;
• Strong analytical and research skills;
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively

Highly Valued Certifications

• Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) or similar credentials.
