About the Role
Set up and operate electro-chemical machines to cut metal work pieces to specifications following standard charts and manuals, applying knowledge of electro-chemical machining processes and methods.
Responsibilities
- Examine operation sheets of product and plan operation of machine for any ECM operation.
- Dress electrodes according to standard practices and part requirements; identify any conditions that will render an electrode unusable.
- Position and secure work pieces on electro-chemical machine table with clamps, vices, or holding fixtures.
- Turn valves to adjust flow of acid through electrodes and on work piece; start machine and observe beginning of operation.
- Check on machine and electrodes frequently throughout the operation.
- Inspect work pieces visually and with specified measuring instruments for conformance to specifications; record measured dimensions.
- Use electronic documenting system to update status of parts as they move throughout the plant and record all necessary quality information, including accept/reject criteria and detailed information regarding any quality defects.
- Maintain company production and quality standards; report unusual problems or conditions to manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in industrial manufacturing as a machine operator.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work overtime as required, including occasional weekend shifts.
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions; only U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals such as certain refugees and asylees) are eligible.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay
The pay range for this position is $27.00/hr to $30.50/hr plus a 10% shift differential.
