ECM Machine Operator

About the Role

Set up and operate electro-chemical machines to cut metal work pieces to specifications following standard charts and manuals, applying knowledge of electro-chemical machining processes and methods.

Responsibilities

• Examine operation sheets of product and plan operation of machine for any ECM operation.
• Dress electrodes according to standard practices and part requirements; identify any conditions that will render an electrode unusable.
• Position and secure work pieces on electro-chemical machine table with clamps, vices, or holding fixtures.
• Turn valves to adjust flow of acid through electrodes and on work piece; start machine and observe beginning of operation.
• Check on machine and electrodes frequently throughout the operation.
• Inspect work pieces visually and with specified measuring instruments for conformance to specifications; record measured dimensions.
• Use electronic documenting system to update status of parts as they move throughout the plant and record all necessary quality information, including accept/reject criteria and detailed information regarding any quality defects.
• Maintain company production and quality standards; report unusual problems or conditions to manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in industrial manufacturing as a machine operator.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work overtime as required, including occasional weekend shifts.
• This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government export restrictions; only U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals such as certain refugees and asylees) are eligible.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Pay

The pay range for this position is $27.00/hr to $30.50/hr plus a 10% shift differential.
