Echonosographer PRN

About the role

Perform cardiac ultrasound, with minimal supervision, to include, but not limited to M-Mode, 2-dimensional, Doppler and Color Doppler studies and stress echocardiograms. Studies will be performed on adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to explain and educate patient on procedures
• Demonstrates ability to perform 2-D Echocardiograms
• Demonstrates ability to perform M-Mode Echocardiograms
• Demonstrates ability to perform Cardiac Doppler testing
• Demonstrates ability to perform Cardiac Color Flow studies
• Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Demonstrates knowledge in post procedure education for patient
• Properly processes tests for physician interpretation
• Properly maintains data management system for echocardiograms
• Demonstrates competency in Meditech, properly processes documentation of tests performed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Satisfactory completion of a Cardiovascular Tech Program or equivalent experience
• One-year experience as a technologist in a Cardiovascular Lab
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (RDCS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Satisfactory completion of a Cardiovascular Tech Program or equivalent experience
• One-year experience as a technologist in a Cardiovascular Lab
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (RDCS)
