About the role
An Echocardiography Technician performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular exams to identify abnormalities, supporting patient diagnosis under physician supervision. Ideal for recent graduates or those new to the field with minimal experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and perform ultrasound exams
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Communicate with medical staff and patients
- Document results accurately
- Maintain equipment and support quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor colleagues and participate in educational activities
Requirements
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in sonography, digital tools, clinical care, and patient instruction
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients and equipment
- Strong communication and time management skills
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to see, read, hear, and communicate effectively
- Manual dexterity for operating equipment
- Ability to assist with patient transfers and navigate busy environments
- May involve driving and extended periods of standing
Schedule
Part-time, variable hours, approximately 30 weekly hours, with on-call shifts.
Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $39.16 to $60.42 based on experience.
