Echocardiography Technician

About the Role

This position performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular exams under physician supervision to identify abnormalities, supporting patient diagnosis and care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence in diagnostic cardiac and vascular sonography
• Schedule and prepare patients for procedures
• Educate patients and ensure their safety during exams
• Communicate effectively with medical teams
• Document and report results accurately
• Maintain and troubleshoot sonography equipment
• Participate in quality improvement and educational activities

Requirements

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in sonography techniques and digital tools
• Strong patient care, time management, and healthcare communication skills
• Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
• Physical ability to manipulate equipment and lift/move patients
• Ability to navigate busy clinical environments
• Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Schedule

Part-time role (30 hours per week) with a variable schedule, including on-call shifts at a hospital in Colorado.
