As a member of the Cardiopulmonary Department, you will use ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, assist physicians with complex procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Responsibilities
- Use ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricles, and left atrium, and visualize blood flow.
- Assist physicians with complex ultrasound procedures, including TEE testing.
- Promote the efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through appropriate utilization and management of clerical functions, including document handling, interpersonal relationships, and information gathering/dissemination.
Requirements
- Completion of an Echocardiogram program within 90 days of hire or equivalent training.
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- ARDMS or CCI certification required within 90 days of hire (effective July 1, 2017).
- Proficient computer skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience performing Echocardiograms on patients of all ages preferred.
- Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $40.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
Schedule
Per Diem, variable shift.
