Echo Tech
Responsibilities
Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow.
Affords assistance to the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
- EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
- Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
- 6 Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
- Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
- Able to perform stress testing preferred.
- Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
- Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
- ARDMS or CCI credential required.
Pay
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
