ECH Maintenance Worker I

About the role

The Maintenance Worker I position involves daily rounds throughout the complex, noting and repairing all items logged at each department location. Responsibilities also include involvement with other day-to-day operational projects and assisting other facilities staff as assigned.

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Educational Requirement: High school diploma required.
• Skills Required: Driver’s License required. Good mechanical knowledge, vocational school helpful. Ability to follow written instructions in reference to work orders, constructing, installations, etc. Ability to safely use hand and some power tools. Ability to communicate well with managers, co-workers, hospital staff, patients and visitors. Self-directed professional conduct, courteous attitude, works independently with minimal supervision, and strives for continuous quality improvement. NYS certification for Asbestos O & M preferred.
