ECE Substitute Teacher

About This Role

The Lilliputian School is a non-profit community school providing a unique learning environment for young children in the Mount Washington Valley for over 3 decades. Our students enjoy the best of both the Montessori approach and well as an outdoor-based education model. We are proud to be TimberNook Certified school! We love the outdoors and spend a lot of time outside in all weather conditions! Our ideal candidate for this position must have a love of the outdoors along with a connection to the Montessori philosophy and have the ability to create a rich learning environment that serves the whole child as a self-directed learner. We serve children ages 24 months through 6 years of age.

What You'll Do

• Absorb and implement curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
• Manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
• Follow all center policies and NH Childcare Licensing Rules.

Requirements

• Preferred 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• Enjoy being outdoors in all weather conditions.
• High energy.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• An understanding of child development.
• Must clear full background check, including fingerprinting.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of Montessori philosophy.
• 1+ years experience in early childhood education.
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
