EC Teacher- Greater Raleigh Area

Job Description

We are actively seeking passionate and dedicated Exceptional Children (EC) Teachers to join a school team in the Wendell Falls area near Raleigh, NC. Opportunities are available in both Self-Contained and Resource classroom settings. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized instructional plans aligned with IEP goals
• Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to support student success
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Exceptional Children Teaching License required
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children Education, or a related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to effectively manage classroom environments and support diverse student needs
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply

Available Settings

• Self-Contained Classroom - Serve students receiving the majority of their instruction within an EC classroom setting
• Resource Classroom - Support students receiving EC services while collaborating with general education staff
• Provide targeted interventions and accommodations across academic subjects
