In this key management role, you will oversee a specialized audit portfolio-spanning 401(k), 403(b), ESOP, and pension arrangements-while guiding plan sponsors, mentoring talented audit staff, and accelerating your path to firm leadership in a supportive, hybrid work culture.What You'll DoEngagement Leadership: Direct full lifecycle employee benefit plan audits (401k, 403b, ESOP, pension, and welfare plans) in strict accordance with GAAS, AICPA guidelines, and ERISA requirements.Technical & Regulatory Expertise: Perform risk assessments and evaluate internal controls specific to EBPs while staying ahead of DOL, IRS, and ERISA regulatory updates.Reporting & Fiduciary Advisory: Review EBP financial statements, audit findings, and management letters, delivering actionable control recommendations directly to plan fiduciaries and sponsors.Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and elevate audit seniors and staff, managing engagement budgets, scheduling, and real-time technical coaching.Practice Building: Drive business development by maintaining strong plan sponsor relationships, contributing to proposal pitches, and implementing audit automation technology to streamline workflows.What We're Looking ForCredentials: Active, licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.Experience: 5+ years of public accounting audit experience with a heavy, dedicated focus on employee benefit plan (EBP) engagements and team supervision.Technical Mastery: Deep subject matter expertise in 401(k), 403(b), and ESOP audits, paired with strong working knowledge of ERISA, Department of Labor (DOL), and IRS regulations.Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (advanced degree or specialized EBP certifications preferred).Core Competencies: Outstanding project management capabilities, strong client-facing presentation skills, and proficiency with standard audit software and Microsoft Excel.
