Early Morning Stock Associate

About the role

The Early Morning Stock Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position requires a high level of awareness and safety practices, as well as the ability to interact professionally with both customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Understands and practices safety as the top priority.
• Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment by promptly correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Treats all customers and associates with respect and courtesy, recognizing fellow associates through Company recognition programs.
• Assists customers by being register-trained, assisting with merchandise, and answering questions politely and knowledgeably.
• Responds promptly and efficiently to customer service calls and handles issues courteously, escalating to leadership when necessary.
• Represents and supports the company brand at all times.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the company’s dress code.
• Executes daily assigned sizing and recovery tasks to keep the store neat and well-maintained.
• Expedites new merchandise receipts to the sales floor, merchandising items according to company best practices.
• Understands and adheres to loss prevention policies, shortage highway protocols, and merchandise protection standards.
• Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with colleagues and customers, safeguarding confidential information and merchandise.
• Fulfills Mark-Out-of-Stock policies, identifying and processing pieces of merchandise as required.
• Handles cash, checks, charge cards, and refunds accurately, following all policies and procedures.
• Operates with a sense of urgency to maximize productivity and minimize steps in workflow.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and store leadership.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
