About the role
The Early Morning Stock Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position requires a high level of attention to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to perform various tasks across different areas of the store.
Responsibilities
- Understands and practices safety protocols at all times.
- Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment by promptly correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions.
- Treats all customers and associates with respect and courtesy, recognizing fellow associates through company recognition programs.
- Assists customers by being register-trained, assisting with merchandise, and answering questions politely and knowledgeably.
- Responds promptly and efficiently to customer service calls, handling issues courteously and calling leadership when necessary.
- Represents the company brand consistently.
- Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters, and replenishing restroom supplies.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the company’s dress code.
- Executes daily sizing and recovery tasks to keep the store neat and well-maintained.
- Expedites new merchandise receipts and merchandises items according to company best practices.
- Understands and follows loss prevention policies and processes.
- Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions with customers and associates.
- Fulfills Mark-Out-of-Stock policies, identifies and processes merchandise, and notifies leadership for approval.
- Handles cash, checks, charge cards, and refunds accurately and efficiently.
- Maximizes productivity by executing all store best practices and minimizing steps and touches in workflow.
Qualifications and Special Skills Required
- Effective communication with customers, associates, and store leadership.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements/ADA
- Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
